What is a beef schnitzel?
A beef schnitzel is cut from the rump or tail section and sliced with the grain into thin steaks. It’s a lean cut of beef with a short cooking time.
How to Prepare Beef Schnitzel
Take the schnitzels out of the fridge at least an hour before cooking to bring them to room temperature. Heat a knob of butter or a splash of olive oil in a frying pan. Season the schnitzels with salt and pepper to taste and cook for about two minutes per side over medium heat.
