Pork sausage LIVAR

LIVAR pork sausage
LIVAR pork sausage is a classic that is always popular. The meat is seasoned and twisted into a sausage, so you can cook it straight away in the pan or on the grill. The ratio of meat to fat gives the sausage a firm texture and a rich flavor when cooked.
What is a sausage?
A sausage is a fresh sausage made from pork and herbs. Unlike smoked sausage or dry sausage, saucijs is intended to be cooked or grilled immediately. During preparation, the sausage develops a spicy flavor and a nice bite. It can be served with potatoes and vegetables, in a stew, or simply with bread and mustard.
LIVAR – Limburg monastery pork
This sausage is made from LIVAR, Limburg monastery pork. The concept originated in Lilbosch Abbey in Echt, where the monks kept the animals with respect for the animals and the environment. LIVAR is the only Dutch pork concept with three stars from the Dutch Society for the Protection of Animals. The pigs live outdoors, are fed regionally grown grains, and grow up in peace. This results in meat that is firm, with a full flavor and consistent quality. LIVAR is often mentioned in the same breath as well-known Spanish and Italian breeds, but has built up a reputation all its own in the Netherlands.

How to Cook a Sausage?
A sausage is easy to prepare, turning it regularly in a frying pan. Briefly soaking it in water can prevent the sausage from bursting, but that habit seems somewhat old-fashioned. Of course, you turn a sausage with tongs and not by piercing it with a fork. Otherwise, the meat loses its juices and that is a waste. Sausages also do great on the BBQ or grill!
