How to cook a sausage?

A sausage is easy to prepare, flipping it in a frying pan. Briefly simmering it in water can prevent the sausage from bursting, but this habit seems somewhat outdated. Of course, use tongs to turn the sausage, not a fork. Piercing it will cause it to lose its juices, which is a shame. Sausages are also great on the BBQ or grill!
