Quick Asian Beef Salad with Mango

Super quick and super tasty, this Asian beef salad is perfect when you’re craving something healthy! Most of the work is chopping, but even that can be made easy. For example, at the supermarket you can find pak choi, soy bean and radish salad—already the perfect base for this recipe. But of course, you can chop it yourself too. Whatever you prefer!

In any case, take the steaks out of the fridge early so they can come to room temperature. If you like, season them in advance with some fresh pepper.

Asian Salad

Chop the pak choi like a salad, julienne the radish, and slice the spring onions into rings. Remove the seeds from the red chili and cut into small half rings. I personally like it as fine as possible, but that’s up to you! Halve the avocado and cut it into cubes. Do the same with the mango, then toss everything together in a large bowl. Mix well, and your salad base is ready.

Preparing the Asian Dressing

Put the dressing ingredients in a small bowl and stir well. Be sure to taste and adjust to your liking. A little more or less ginger syrup is totally personal.

Sear the steaks on high heat in a generous knob of butter, browning both sides quickly. Remove the steaks from the pan and slice into strips. Lower the heat and briefly toss the steak strips back in the pan. We finished with some sea salt flakes, but you know best how you like your steak.

Divide the salad over 2 plates, season with the dressing, place the steak strips on top, and finish with black sesame seeds. Really. That’s it!

TIP: If you want—unlike us—to take a BEAUTIFUL photo of your dish, wait to add the dressing until just before serving. We got a bit too eager again ;-)
