Alpin Fleckvieh AUT

At The Butchery, our Alpin Fleckvieh Simmental beef comes from the finest grass-fed cattle grazing in the pristine Alpine meadows of Germany and Austria. These cattle live freely for at least three years, ensuring that the meat develops a rich flavor and tender texture. After careful selection, the beef is expertly trimmed and cut to perfection by our Master Butchers, then vacuum-packed and flash-frozen to preserve its freshness. The combination of top-tier quality and pure craftsmanship sets The Butchery apart. You’ll receive your meat without any waste, with an ideal fat-to-meat ratio, and 100% grill-ready.

The spotted Simmentaler cattle is perhaps the flagship of the iconic dairy cow. Okay, the spots aren't purple, but light brown to reddish-brown, yet it's the kind of cow you see grazing in a green Alpine meadow. The Simmentaler breed goes way back and originated in the Middle Ages from a cross between a German and a Swiss beef breed. The name Simmentaler comes from the 'Simme Valley,' a mountainous area in the Bernese Oberland. In Germany, the cows are known as Fleckfieh, and in France, they are known under the name Pie Rouge. Regardless, what is truly important is the fact that the cattle roam freely on, among others, German and Austrian alpine meadows, where they graze on fresh grass and herbs. It is naturally a so-called dual-purpose breed, meaning that both milk and meat production are of excellent quality. Simmentaler cattle live for at least three years and have calved at least twice. They are also relatively large. The meat of Fleckvieh has a fine texture, good fat marbling, characteristic flavor, and a deep red color. In short: the good life of the Alpine cows benefits the meat! Ordering Simmentaler online at The Butchery is therefore definitely a responsible choice!
