Black Angus cows roam freely for the first 24 months on vast farmland, sometimes as large as the entire province of Utrecht—an unimaginable scale! After two years, the USA Black Angus cattle are moved to a feedlot, which is a large enclosure but without a grass-covered surface.

Grain-Fed Beef

In the feedlots, the cattle begin a specialized grain-fed diet for 120 days. This process is why the term "grain-fed beef" is often used. The diet gradually transitions from grass to a final stage of grain feeding.
