Chicken is perhaps the most eaten meat in the Netherlands and chicken fillet is at the top. Not surprising, because it is lean, tasty and you can go in any direction with it. Chicken fillet comes from the breast of the animal and is a double fillet. One chicken fillet as you know it from the supermarket or from the butcher is actually half. Chicken thigh fillet is gaining more and more ground and we completely understand that. The meat comes from the upper part of the leg and contains more fat than chicken fillet. It is also a bit darker in color. Chicken thigh fillet is undeniably more tender than chicken fillet and also contains more flavor. The meat is therefore also fattier. Both very tasty. Just depends on what you plan to do with it!
