Shell pasta with a quick Bolognese sauce
Pasta Bolognese, but with a twist from what we're used to. This shell pasta is just a bit more festive than traditional spaghetti. By the way, spaghetti in Italy is actually less traditional than we Dutch tend to think. The variety is huge, and Italians gladly make use of that. Oh, and the delicious Rubia Gallega minced beef is on sale this week!
The quick Bolognese version
Bolognese is usually a time-consuming dish to make. If you want the sauce to have a great flavor, you can easily let it simmer all day long. Perfect for weekends, because once it’s on the stove, you hardly need to keep an eye on it. But you do need to stay home for that. To make it easier for you, we offer a range of high-quality sauces, including Bolognese sauce. Among the ingredients, you’ll find a Bolognese sauce that already contains minced meat—maybe a bit redundant. So you could also choose, for example, tomato sauce with basil. It’s delicious! Without E-numbers or other artificial additives. Just the way it should be. So, what do you do? Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and sauté it together with the [pressed] garlic clove in a [preferably cast-iron] frying pan. Season the minced meat to taste and cook it along. Now add the sauce and let it heat through. Drain the pasta and place it in a baking dish. Fill it with the sauce and gratinate with Parmesan cheese. Put the baking dish in the oven for about 5 minutes at 180°C (350°F). Let it cool slightly, plate nicely, and finish with some fresh basil. Easy as pie. A top dish to impress even on a regular weekday...
ENJOY!
