What is a white-legged chicken?

A white-legged chicken is a slow-growing free-range chicken from France with white feathers and legs. This chicken has the superior French label rouge, awarded 3* Better Life by the Dutch Animal Protection Society. White-legged free-range chickens live longer and are fed 100% vegetable feed, of which 75% grains. This means that this chicken has a lot of meat on the carcass and the fine grain of the meat makes this chicken certainly more tender than the average free-range chicken.

This White-legged chicken comes from France and carries the Label Rouge, which means that the chicken has lived under the best conditions. The Label Rouge quality mark goes further than the three-star Better Life quality mark of the Animal Protection Society. Label Rouge is a unique production method with a sophisticated feeding program and strict controls ensure that a superior end product is guaranteed. In other words: Label Rouge is top of the bill when it comes to chicken meat. Poultry with this label are always rustic breeds, selected for quality and slow growth. The farms always offer free outdoor range, with always access to shady meadows (minimum 2 m2 per chicken!). How do you prepare thick meat ribs?

Thick meat ribs are super versatile! You can prepare them on the BBQ, in the pan or in the oven! Oh yes, and you can put them in the chowder as a seasoning. Would you like to prepare them in the oven? Then preheat the oven to 200 degrees, marinate the ribs and place them in a greased baking dish. Turn the temperature of the oven back to 180 degrees and let the ribs - depending on their thickness - cook for at least an hour. Don't forget to turn the ribs in between.
