How to Prepare These XXL Black Tiger Shrimp
For best results, start by defrosting the shrimp. You can do this by leaving them at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours, or by placing them under cold running water for about 5 minutes. Once defrosted, there are several ways to cook them:
- Grilling: brush the shrimp regularly with oil or wrap them in aluminium foil and place them on the barbecue. Grill for 1 to 2 minutes per side until they turn a nice pink colour.
- Pan-frying: heat a pan with a bit of oil and optionally some chopped garlic. Cook the shrimp for 1 to 2 minutes per side over medium heat.
- Boiling: bring a pot of water to a boil with a pinch of salt, some leek and a few peppercorns. Boil the shrimp for about 2 minutes, until firm and pink.
Once the shrimp have changed colour and feel firm to the touch, they’re ready to serve.
