How to Cook a Bratwurst?
A bratwurst is easy to prepare, simply turning it over in a frying pan. Soaking it in water briefly can prevent the sausage from bursting, but that habit seems a bit old-fashioned. Of course, you should turn the bratwurst with tongs, not by pricking it with a fork. This way, the meat retains its moisture, which is important. Bratwurst also does great on the BBQ or grill!

Grilling/BBQ: About 8 minutes at 180 - 200 degrees or in a hot grill pan [turning over in between]
Frying: 10 minutes on medium heat in oil, butter, or ghee [turning over in between]
Sous vide: 1 hour at 65°C, then sear
