Bratwurst LIVAR - gorgonzola/cranberry

LIVAR sausage – gorgonzola/cranberry
A sausage you don't often come across. The spicy flavor of gorgonzola and the freshness of cranberry give this sausage a distinctive character. Delicious in the pan or on the grill, where the combination of savory and sweet comes out even stronger.
What is a bratwurst?
Bratwurst is made from ground meat that is seasoned and formed into sausage. It is a classic in Dutch cuisine and is known for its versatility. In this variant, LIVAR meat has been chosen, supplemented with gorgonzola and cranberry. The result is a sausage that has both savory depth and a slight sweetness, a surprising twist on a familiar product.
LIVAR – Limburg monastery pork
LIVAR stands for Limburg monastery pig, a unique concept that originated in Lilbosch Abbey in Echt. The pigs live in spacious monastery gardens, are fed locally grown grains, and are raised with care. This method of farming has earned LIVAR three Better Life stars from the Dutch Society for the Protection of Animals, the only Dutch pork concept to do so. The meat is known for its characteristic flavor and consistent quality.

How to Cook a Bratwurst?
A bratwurst is easy to prepare, simply turning it over in a frying pan. Soaking it in water briefly can prevent the sausage from bursting, but that habit seems a bit old-fashioned. Of course, you should turn the bratwurst with tongs, not by pricking it with a fork. This way, the meat retains its moisture, which is important. Bratwurst also does great on the BBQ or grill!
