How to Cook a Sausage?

A sausage is easy to prepare, turning it back and forth in a frying pan. Soaking it in water briefly can prevent the sausage from bursting, but that habit seems a bit old-fashioned. Of course, you should turn a sausage with tongs, not by pricking it with a fork. That would make the meat lose its moisture, which is a shame. Sausages also do great on the BBQ or grill!

In Short

Grilling/BBQ: About 8 minutes at 180-200 degrees or on a hot grill pan [turning in between]
Pan-frying: 10 minutes on low heat in oil, butter, or ghee [turning in between]
Sous vide: 1 hour at 65C and then sear
