Are Chicken Livers Healthy?

Chicken livers: either you hate them or you love them. Enthusiasts agree on one thing: when fried with mushrooms, onions, and bacon, they are delicious on bread. And healthy, too. Provided they come from healthy free-range chickens. A healthy liver from an animal that has spent ample time outdoors and has eaten grass and healthy feed contains high amounts of vitamins A, D, and B, and minerals such as iron and zinc are also abundantly present. Of course, you shouldn't eat chicken liver daily, as too much vitamin A is also undesirable, but honestly: who eats chicken liver weekly? However, eating chicken livers once a week would be very healthy. Enjoy them fresh and medium-rare, as overcooking makes them dry.
