How to Cook Shoulder Tender in 6 Steps

1. Preparation: Take the shoulder tender out of the fridge at least 30 minutes in advance to bring it to room temperature. Pat the meat dry with paper towels.

5. Resting: Remove the shoulder tender from the pan and let it rest under aluminum foil for 5–10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute and makes the meat even more tender.

6. Serving: Slice the shoulder tender thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness, and serve immediately.

Tip: Shoulder tender is best enjoyed slightly pink inside, so medium-rare to medium is ideal.
