Everyday meat can be incredibly delicious. And still so easy! All you need? Quality meat and a few good rubs and marinades in your pantry. With those, you can add a delightful twist to almost anything in no time. Take beef roulades, for instance. How tasty? You can buy them ready-made, or you can whip them up yourself. Either way, with No Rubbish rubs, you’ll add a flavorful twist. And that’s pretty great, isn’t it?

No Rubbish Rubs

The BBQ and cooking rubs from No Rubbish are made with fresh herbs and spices and contain no artificial additives. No Rubbish—the name says it all. We offer a variety in our range, but for this recipe, we’re using The Hulk, which delivers a flavor explosion. If you’re starting entirely from scratch, you can season your homemade beef roulades with this rub. If you prefer clean flavors, you might not need a cabinet full of different rubs. But if you like your meat well-seasoned, The Hulk is a must-have in your pantry! Now, onto the recipe.

Option 1: Make Your Own Beef Roulades

Using ground beef and bacon strips. Not overly complicated, but it does require a bit more effort and shopping compared to the quick option.

Place the ground beef in a bowl and press the garlic clove over it. Add the cheese and the egg, then season the meat as desired. For example, with 2 tablespoons of The Hulk rub. Mix thoroughly and let it rest in a sealed container in the fridge for an hour.

Meanwhile, lay the bacon strips on a board and generously sprinkle The Hulk rub over them.

Divide the ground beef into six equal portions and shape them into cylindrical logs. Wrap the logs tightly with the bacon strips, ensuring the rub is on the inside (3 to 4 slices should suffice). Sprinkle some additional Hulk rub on the board and roll the roulades through it. Fry the roulades in a generous amount of butter in a skillet until they reach an internal temperature of about 78°C (172°F).

Option 2: Pork-and-Beef Roulades – The Quick Option

Some might think: why make it hard when it can be easy? Fair enough. We have delicious LIVAR roulades available, made with high-quality ground meat and lean smoked bacon. Simply roll these in The Hulk rub and fry them the same way until browned all around. Just make sure the roulade isn’t undercooked in the center.
