Pulled beef loaded smashburger
Burgers smashing. It has become a real trend and we totally get why. What’s good is simply good—but of course, it can always be even better. For example, by “loading” with a meat topping. And it’s super simple too, because we have various ready-made, oh-so-delicious toppings. Robert van Dijk from @vurigekolen went for loaded beef and finished this burger with cheddar. Divine combo, here’s the recipe:
Method for loaded smash burgers
Prepare the BBQ for direct grilling at 200°C. Place a baking tray or plancha on the BBQ to heat up. Mix the ground beef with the breadcrumbs and divide the mixture into 4 equal balls. Meanwhile, warm up the loaded beef in a small saucepan.
Place the beef balls on the tray and press them firmly with a burger press or spatula into thin burgers. If the meat sticks, place baking paper between the press and the beef. Sprinkle the burgers with your favorite rub. Cook the burgers for 2 minutes or until the edges start to brown, then flip them over.
Place a slice of cheddar on each burger and leave for another 2 minutes until the cheese melts.
Meanwhile, toast the burger buns on the BBQ.

Top the buns with the burgers and finish with loaded beef. Easy as pie!
Enjoy!
