LIVAR is the only pork concept to have been awarded 3* better life by the Animal Protection Society and that is of course not without reason. The origin of brightly colored LIVAR pigs lies at Lilbosch Abbey in Echt, Limburg. There, the animals are lovingly cared for by monks and the pigs can root and roll in the mud in the monastery gardens and are fed freshly grown Limburg grains. You can taste that good life.

Livar pigs no longer roam around at Lilbosch Abbey, but they do all grow up under strict supervision and LIVAR is constantly working to make its farms even more animal-friendly. Taste as a reward for good care is the slogan and we dare to say with certainty that no word of that is a lie.

How to Prepare Pork Belly Slices Without Rind?

Season the pork belly slices with salt and pepper or pork belly seasoning. Sear the slices over high heat in a generous amount of butter until golden brown on both sides. Then, reduce the heat and cook the slices for an additional 7 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally.

Even aanbakken en dan 4 uurtjes op 80 graden in de kamado. Hmmmm

Lekkere bek vol spek. Spek met smaak. We hebben ze zowel op bbq als in pan gebakken. De bbq wint dan natuurljk altijd maar in de pan ook goed te bakken en vol smaak.
