Always top quality. Perfectly preserved. Ready when you are.
When you buy fresh meat and put it in your home freezer, the quality declines. Not because the meat is frozen, but because it freezes too slowly. During that process, large ice crystals form that damage the cell walls of the muscle tissue. And those cells are exactly what keep the moisture inside the meat. After all, you want a juicy steak.

Grain-fed meat comes from animals that – in addition to grass – are supplemented with grains and corn. This results in extra tender and juicy meat with rich marbling and a full umami flavor. Grain-fed meat is naturally higher in fat than grass-fed meat, and fat is the carrier of flavor in meat. That’s why grain-fed is a popular choice among meat lovers who enjoy a buttery-soft bite and a rich taste. Grain-fed does not, however, say anything about the living conditions of the animals. They usually spend the majority of their lives on grass-rich pastures. High-quality producers – such as those of USDA Prime beef – supplement with grain in the final stage in open feeding areas to enhance marbling and tenderness.
